Driving, playing, driving, playing, more driving and more playing. That’s the name of the game and I would not have it any other way.

The past week we had a chance to hit the road with our homies Tribal Seeds on the first couple stops of their “We Run The Show” tour, and I can honestly say it did not disappoint.

Santa Barbara was the first stop on the tour. This was our first “all ages” show in the area and we were super excited to start the tour off on the right foot. The all ager rager was packed and the crowd went off; I was especially excited to meet some new Thrive fans and hang out with some of the our friends from Iration and Rebelution. Like always our buddy RP threw an awesome after party, which we barely remember, and our friend Squirrel hooked it up with the sleeping arrangements and some peanuts to snack on at his home. The next day really solidified why I call this blog “The Journey”.

Waking up in a haze barely being able to withstand the rays from the Santa Barbara sun, we loaded in the van and were off to Modesto, California. We put the address in the iPhone GPS, opened up a gallon of water to rehydrate and went for the drive of a lifetime. I won’t go into full details but all I will say is 1. Pay attention to the GPS at all times if you are the navigator and 2. Thank you Aaron Borowitz for withstanding the tiring drive. We made it safe to the Fat Cat in Modesto and though the show started at an early hour, Modesto came to party.

We ended the Tribal tour in front of our Bay Area hometown, and it went off with a bang in many ways. We were more than excited to play the Regency Ballroom, the professionalism/quality of the staff and venue is legendary bringing the vibes of all the bands to another level. We were honored to have our friend Eric Rachmany of Rebelution come on stage during our set, and the crowd exploded with enjoyment with the surprise. Like always Tribal crushed it during their set and had Aaron, Kenny, Eric Rachmany and even our tour manager Owen come throw down some rhymes on “Vampire”.

Last week was another week to remember for the Thrive boys and myself. New friends were made while other friendships only grew stronger. I would like to thank Tribal for bringing us out, Squirrel for the floor space, all the Iration and Reb boys for coming to the shows, Rachmany for killing it, Jesse for being Jesse and most importantly YOU the fans that bring the heat at every single show!! See you guys in Tahoe when we play with Iration and, like always, KEEP THRIVING!!!
